The Sure, man Tank

When your team needs a big block of meat to stand in the front lines and bear the brunt of the damage, what do you say? Well, with this build you can say, “Sure, man, whatever you want.” (Yes, you can all groan at that one.) A defensive Warrior who can stand up to a lot of punishment.
First off, this is not a build for doing damage. This is a build for one thing and one thing only : survival. For that tough PvE mission where your party wants your Warrior to tank like mad, something like this is what’s called for. You take the hits and let the rest of your group worry about downing the mobs. It’s overkill but this character’s set up to simply absorb as much damage as possible and to both heal itself and survive long enough for a more devoted healer with more energy to come to their rescue. Flurry’s there to charge up Defy Pain – which, as an adrenal skill should be easy to keep up almost constantly, especially with an increased attack rate – not to increase the DPS. So, too, is To the Limit which, when this character is being mobbed by enemies should nearly charge Defy Pain all by itself. The basic idea is to hide behind Defy and Endure pain as much as possible and to use Healing Signet and Orison of Healing to try and heal up. The rest of the time your healer will be desperately trying to save you as well, so between the added health, your armor, and the healing, you can take the force of many blows. Energy might become a problem so Essence Bond can be used as an easy way to gain a bit of energy. All you need to do is have physical blows happening once every second and you’ve made up for the hit to your regeneration. Since they should be happening a lot more than that it should fuel your energy guzzling Monk spells.
