Pre-requisite quests: Honing Your Skills; Secondary Training; Choose Your Secondary Profession; Leaving a Legacy; The Honorable General; Signs and Portents.
  •   Melonni must be in your party
  •   You must be level 12 or have achieved the rank of First Spear.
You begin by fighting your way through various groups of plants and insects until you reach Fahranur, The First City. Speak to the spirit guarding the door and proceed into the first chamber. Ahead of you, you will see another spirit, Darehk the Quick, whom you must kill in order to take the stone tablet which he is carrying. Be wary of the huge stone crusher before him as being hit by this causes instant death - no death penalty is accrued, but this is an embarrasing way to wipe your entire party!

Darehk has an annoying and un-removeable permanent 33% speed boost - some form of snare can speed up this section considerably. Whilst chasing him around you will likely be hit by Madness Darts from pillars - these cause a minor -1 health degeneration and distort your vision similar to the drunk effect. Once Dahrek is dead, carry the stone tablet to the plinth, thus opening the doors to the next section.

The second section involves picking up two more stone tablets and placing them on two plinths at the exit door. This is complicated by groups of Relentless Corpses and Restless Dead plus several fire traps which cause burning. If you  wish to get the Master's Reward for this mission, neither of the two Sunspear Ghosts in this area must be killed. As Melonni is a requirement for this mission, she should be placed on "Do Not Attack" mode for this section - minion masters would probably be a bad idea too.

Placing the two books on their requisite pedestals opens the way to the third section. Here you simply need to kill the three groups of three undead between the very slow-moving ghost - Kahdash - and the plinth at the end. If Kahdash should die he will re-spawn, but you will lose one level of the bonus reward.

The final section contains a few more undead groups and the end boss, a level 13 Graven Monolith known as the Apocrypha. Killing The Apocrypha ends the mission.

The rewards for this mission depend on the number of surviving Sunspear Ghosts at the end: zerp for Standard, one for Expert and two for Master's.
