Pre-requisite quest: Pledge of the Merchant Princes
A straightforward mission - capture three Torment Rifts without losing control
of the Altar of Lyssa. A high Lightbringer rank and the Lightbringer's Gaze skill
makes this mission much easier.
As soon as your party moves from the spawning point, three groups of two Margonites
will converge on the altar from the three Torment Rifts. The priority is to
destroy these initial enemies (and a second spawn of 6) before moving on to
defeat the groups around the Rifts. When the last of these Margonites is killed,
a spirit called The Blasphemy will appear and head towards the Altar. He is
easy to kill but releases three Unbound Energies - these should be killed rapidly.
The Blasphemy respawns continuously while you are attempting to close the Rifts,
so it is wise to always be aware of his location. Each of the Rifts has a defending
group of four Margonites and a Torment Claw with its devastating Torment Slash
skill that should always be interrupted. The mission is then a simple matter
of closing a Rift, killing The Blasphemy at the altar, then repeating until
the final Rift is closed. Once all three Rifts are 100% closed, the mission
is complete.
The reward for this mission is based on the time it took to complete: Standard
for over nine minutes, Expert for 6-9 minutes and Master for less than six minutes.
