Pre-requisite quests: All's Well That Ends Well; Warning Kehanni; Calling the Order
This mission is dependent on you having allied with Master of Whispers during the quest "Mysterious Message."
This mission sees you defending Prince Ahmtur the Mighty's fortress against an onslaught from Kournan forces led by four powerful Margonite generals. After talking to the prince at the start of the mission, you are teleported outside of the fortress where three Disciples of Secrets await. Each Disciple is accompanied by three Vabbian guards and you are tasked with ordering them to defend one of three bombards. Groups of Kournans and Margonites will then make runs toward the bombards - if there are more enemies than allies at a bombard for a period of time, it is "captured." If this should happen, the enemy group will then move on to the associated gate and try to destroy it in the same way. Finally, after passing these two defenses, the enemies will begin to capture the Bastion itself - if they succeed, or if Prince Ahmtur dies, the mission is failed.
After several minutes of Kournan assault, the four Margonite bosses will spawn at separate locations at the edge of the mission map via rifts which continuously spawn small Kournan groups. Killing the four Margonite bosses will successfully complete the mission.
The bonus for this mission makes things even harder - you need to complete the mission with all defenses intact - three bombards and three gates. The most common way of accomplishing this is to send all three Disciple groups to the Eastern bombard along with Master of Whispers (set as a minion master - with melee minions only) and a Restoration Ritualist. The rest of the party should defend the remaining bombards from the assault then head for the bosses as soon as they spawn.
The reward for this mission depends on the amount of intact defenses at the end: 0 for Standard, 1-4 for Expert and 5-6 for Master.
