This mission is dependant on you having allied with Margrid the Sly during the quest "Mysterious Message."
This mission has you facing a series of trials as you attempt to free the princes
from the Hidden City of Adashim. You are accompanied by the warrior Goren for
the duration of this mission - should he die, the mission will fail. There are
several groups of Djinn in the starting area which should be taken on one at a
time. The Ruby Djinn are equipped with Searing Flames which can prove devastating
to an unprepared party. Once the area is clear, you will come to three passages,
only the central of which will be open. Proceeding through here start the first
trial: The Trial of Eternity. There are six Eternal Guardians in this chamber
which cause constant health degeneration, speed reduction and skill recharge lengthening
until they are destroyed.Be cautious when approaching the treasure chest here,
as it will cause a group of Djinn to spawn. Killing the Guardians is sufficient
to complete the trial but as the bonus for this mission is rather easy, continue
on until you find the Djinn called the Ruby of Adashim and take the Ruby Key that
it drops.
The door to the Trial of Divinity will now be open, so procede through there
making sure to avoid the fire and ice traps just around the corner. After defeating
a few Djinn and Roaring Ethers along the way, you will come to a line of Divine
Guardians, each of which will pose a question about the gods of Tyria. Answering
all the questions (rightly or wrongly) completes the trial - each wrong answer
will cause three Djinn to spawn.
The correct answers are, from left to right: Balthazar; Dwayna; Grenth; Lyssa;
Melandru; Abaddon.
After completing the trial, locate the Diamond of Adashim and take the Diamond
Key that it drops. Open the Diamond Guarded Chest for the first part of the
bonus. You can now proceed to the final trial, the Trial of Wisdom.
After following the now-familiar corridor filled with traps and foes, you will
come to a wide area guarded by four "Thunder of Adashim" Djinn. Defeat
these to be faced with a mathematical puzzle based on prime numbers and their
factors. Solve the problem to complete the trial - simply pick up the nearby
Crystal Keys and place on the pedestals numbered 6 and 35 or 10 and 21 or 14 and 15.
- getting a wrong answer will cause more Thunders of Adashim to spawn. Find
and kill the nearby Sapphire of Adashim and collect its key. Open the Ruby chest
for part two of the bonus.
The door to the central chamber will now be open - remember to open the final
(Sapphire) chest on your way there to finish off the bionus objectives. After
a few more Djinn/Ether groups you will come to the final chamber. Here, you
need to defeat three boss Djinn - Kormab, Burning Heart (Fire Elementalist -
Searing Flames), Shakor Firespear (Paragon - Angelic Bond) and Hajok Earthguardian
(Dervish - Zealous Vow). Stay at the top of the stairs and pull the bosses to
you, one by one. Once all three are dead, the mission is complete.
The award for this mission depends on how many chests you opened: 0 for Standard,
1-2 for Expert and all 3 for Master.
