A Dutch Auction is a type of auction you can set up if you have more than one of the exact same item, but wish to sell them individually. Your starting price is for one item, and all bids that come in are for the price per item.
Example: You have 5 black dyes you wish to sell with a starting bid of 7k each.
A bidder wishes to purchase 3 of them. They designate the quantity they wish to purchase (3) and what they are bidding (7k). If they are the winning bidder, they owe you 21k.
If you find an auction that appears to violate the Terms and Conditions for Use, you should either use the
Contact Us link, or go to our
Feedback forum and let us know. With the volume of auctions that are processed through this site, we are simply unable to see everything so we count on our users to help us out!
The broken images are caused by a server balance issue that we have been unable to fix. Here is a solution.
First upload your images to an online photo sharing site
(photobucket or imageshack for examples) from your computer, or find the actual URL of the image on the wiki or other online resource.
Below the space where you would normally upload a
picture from your computer, there is a box for a URL instead. If you go
to the wiki page, or wherever on the internet you may have uploaded
pictures and copy the URL of
that page or image into that box and click on Upload image, it doesn't
actually upload the image to the server, it just directs it to that
image. The image will now show up as a thumbnail in the auction. If you
have multiple images you wish to display, you just have to repeat the
process. You are allowed 4 images. These types of images do not break,
because they don't affect the load balance on the Guru servers.More details about this problem can be found on our feedback forum at:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10233878&page=2 Though parts of the posting process make reference to listing fees, there are none on GWGuru Auctions. The auction software we use was written for use in real life online auctions and modified to meet the needs of an in-game auction. Feel free to use all the features of our auction!
By far the most account suspensions are due to bouncing e-mail
addresses. If you read about e-mail providers like Hotmail, you will
find that they take the following approach: once an e-mail account
becomes unused, the senders receive "account not longer available"
messages for 6 months. After that, anything sent to that address gets
flagged as spam. As that would not be fair to our other users, we have
to stop sending messages to bouncing e-mail accounts, ergo the account
suspensions.
If your account has been suspended, and if you have not received an
e-mail message with further details, then this is due to the fact that
we cannot e-mail you (i.e. our e-mail to you bounced). We are more than
happy to reactivate your account if you provide a new working e-mail
address for your account.
Of course there are also other reasons for possible suspensions, but if
you are on the receiving end of one of those, you will (a) get an
e-mail about it and (b) typically know that you have been somewhat
creative with the interpretation of our auction rules.
